Mirada Fine Art

This past weekend I photographed Steve Sonnen, the owner of Mirada Fine Art. Steve’s gallery is in the Indian Hills area, just a few miles southwest of Denver. It is one of my favorite galleries to visit, and I get to often since I usually photograph their artist receptions for the gallery as well. Here is a post from 2010 from some artist receptions at Mirada. I’ll have to compile another post soon with some updated artist reception pictures as well, but for now here are just a few of my favorite images of Steve.

For the set up I used two lights, an Alien Bee 800 and an Alien Bee 1600, both with the power turned all the way down to help maintain an even ambient lighting. The AB 800 has a medium softbox, and the AB1600, has a 20 degree grid spot on it. For most of the other pictures, I used just the single AB800 with the medium softbox alone. All the images were shot with a Canon 5d with a variety of lens from lens.
